Caring Crafters
Do you like to knit or crochet? Or would you like to learn? Regardless of your skill level, Caring Crafters is your group! This bunch makes handmade items to bless other local organizations.
The projects are as diverse as the people who sign up for this group. For instance, Caring Crafters made reader wraps as Christmas gifts for a local nursing home. Newborns In Need was in need of burial blankets for the precious that never survived birth. Caring Crafters helped fulfill that need. Caring Crafters also made earrings and wraps to support an organization that reaches out to women in local strip clubs.In the spring of 2019, the crafts went international! Over a 100 scarves went to a Romanian women's shelter. In the summer, they made Twiddlemuffs to hand out to those suffering from Alzheimer/dimentia and autism.
For fall and winter 2019, the crafters are going to undertake something a little different....toy making! A local diner wants to host a fundraiser to help single parents and he requested for this group to make crocheted or knitted stuffed animals!
What you do
You work on projects at your own pace. Once a month, you'll meet up at a nearby coffee shop to touch base, chit-chat and help one another through a project problem.
